Greetings!

I'd like to share about my writing routines whenever I get around to my manuscript.

I have my manuscript stored on a Google Doc, but I have a backup in Microsoft Word in case Google Docs fails me unexpectedly. Fortunately, that hasn't happened yet. Anyways, I open my Doc and go to where I'm currently at, and retrace a bit to refresh my memory of what I have just written because I'm not the best when it comes to keeping track on very recent progress, though paradoxically I can remember key plot points I've written way back when that serve relevance to the current scene.

From there, I write several passages and write what comes to my head organically and feels write. Whenever there's a sentence I'm not satisfied with at all, I erase it completely and go back to the "drawing board" of ideas until I find one that feels more satisfying than the one I scrapped.

The most difficult part for me is coming up with the right words and and not overusing some words for the sake of trying to sound unique and then wind up spamming that word that it becomes unoriginal. I use the Merriam-Webster dictionary and Thesaurus to help me find new words with the same meaning and sounds better when read out loud.

On average, I'd say this is what I normally do when getting into writing. There's deviations sometimes like watching videos of movie or TV show scenes I adore and take inspiration from them in how to convey a mood or describe the emotional setting.

What's your writing process like? Is it similar or completely different from mine?

Thank you for reading!
