He died a traitor. He came back to make it right. Five thousand years ago, the gods' own warriors executed Gaios for treason. Gaios was one of the ten protectors, created to protect the mortal races. Then he walked away to build an empire of his own, and the other nine killed him for it. Fifty-five centuries later he wakes in a burning museum, unaware of how he got there, in a disoriented state. The goddess who made him has given him one chance at redemption, but no one can know he's back. His only allies are a cult of sorcerers and mundanes, those without magic, who worship the conqueror he used to be.
